Is your school or Member Association getting ready for the WEF Student Design Competition?
Submitted by Lauren Zuravnsky, Chair, Student Design Competition Subcommittee

The WEF Student Design Competition offers WEF students the opportunity to bring their innovative designs and compelling presentation skills to a national level competition!  Teams from across North America will be participating at WEFTEC in Chicago, IL on Sunday, October 1, 2017. Top teams in the Wastewater and Environmental divisions will receive award monies and all teams will receive plaques made possible through WEF Sponsorships. Competition guidelines and entry forms for the competition are available for download from WEF’s Student Design Competition website. Teams must submit their Entry Form and Abstract Form by close of business on June 1, 2017

We are excited for your WEF Member Association team to participate! You don’t have to wait to contact us until June. The subcommittee would appreciate if teams or Member Associations (MAs) send an email to Lauren Zuravnsky, Design Competition Subcommittee Chair, lzuravnsky@hrsd.com, to notify the subcommittee that your MA is planning to send a team to participate at WEFTEC.

Well over 50 motivated and talented students participate in this event at WEFTEC; contact Caroline Pakenham, WEF Staff, cpakenham@wef.org, if interested in sponsoring this event.

Students compete in a process challenge game during a break at the 2016 WEF Student Design Competition.
